Iranian TV anchor Reza Safdari passes away

TEHRAN -- Iranian TV anchor Reza Safdari, who shot to fame with his groundbreaking work in “20:30”, died of heart attack, Persian news agencies reported on Wednesday. He was 48 years old.
His funeral was held at the Belal Mosque of the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting on Friday.Safdari began his career as a dubber and a radio anchor in 1985, but he set off to find fame fortune in 1995 when he served as the anchor “20:30”, a TV program which was launched on the Iranian Channel 5 to find solutions for the variety of urban problems afflicting Tehran.
He was also the anchor of “Summer Nights”, “Winter Nights”, “Summer 1996”, “Cheragh”, “30 Springs”, “The Morning of Revolution” and several other programs.
Safdari also tried his hand at making TV series “Bed of Paradise”, “A Moonlit Night” and “Actor”, neither of which welcomed by Persian viewers
